Upper Body Deep Tissue Massage
Upper body issues such as forward head syndrome, rounded shoulder posture, shoulder impingement, shoulder pain, back pain, neck pain, headaches and other pathological problems can all be caused by dysfunctional movement patterns in your day to day life that you may be completely unaware of. Luckily, our massage therapists are prepared to provide relief for your upper body soft-tissue dysfunctions with advanced massage therapy techniques.
Many of our guests have presented with chronic upper body pain, usually when their occupation requires sitting and typing or driving. After receiving specialized massage therapy, our clients continue to report quality of life improvements and substantial reduction of pain. Our knowledgeable therapists can provide you with objective observations about your posture that can help you address the root of the dysfunction.
Upper body pain and dysfunction is also common in athletes due to repetitive and one-side dominant movements. Athletes will often have muscles imbalances because they primarily use their dominant arm and leg to throw, kick, pass and shoot. This doesn't just effect the arm or leg, it actually effects your whole body, especially the trunk and hips. We don't just use our arm to throw, it's a movement that uses the whole body. You can probably imagine how it might affect your body to perform an action 10,000 times on one side and not the other. Even if your form is perfect, this kind of repetition will lead to dysfunction unless you work to balance it out.
Advanced Deep Tissue Massage Techniques
Our talented massage therapists will utilized a variety of special techniques to help treat your pain. Modalities such as neuromuscular therapy, active release technique, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and accupressure will often be utilized. Our upper body deep tissue massage therapists have a great deal of experience with this type of massage and have developed their own unique style.
If you are suffering from chronic upper body pain, we would love the opportunity to help you. If you have any questions or you would like to know more, please give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate your specific needs and recommend the best massage therapist for you.
