Tucson Massage FAQ
What makes Tucson Massage Company different from other spas?
What we’re not: a nail spa’s upsell, a hair salon’s spare-room side hustle, or a corporate chain with scripts and quotas. This is the opposite of that. Bodywork is our sole focus, and it has been for more than a decade. With over 1,100 five-star reviews and a reputation built one session at a time, we’ve earned Tucson’s trust by keeping it simple: people before gimmicks, care before commerce.
Do you take walk-ins?
We don’t take unscheduled walk-ins. To ensure availability, please book online in advance. For same-day openings, call us directly at 520-535-0099 and we’ll be happy to help.
Do you offer prenatal massage?
Yes, we do. Our therapists are trained in safe prenatal techniques to support comfort, circulation, and relief during every stage of pregnancy. You can browse our massage therapist bios to choose the therapist who feels right for you, then select Prenatal Massage when booking online.
Can I choose between different lotions or oils?
Absolutely. We provide high-quality, unscented massage lotion as the default, and we also offer organic oils or lightly scented options upon request. If you have a preference or sensitivity, just let your therapist know.
Are same-day appointments available, or do I need to book in advance?
Most of our guests book ahead, but same-day appointments are often available. Just call us at 520-535-0099 and we’ll check today’s schedule for you.
Can I book for a couple or a group?
Yes. Couples massage is one of our specialties, and we can often arrange sessions for groups as well. Larger bookings (3+ guests) are best scheduled by phone so we can coordinate rooms and therapists.
Can I request a male or female therapist?
Of course. Many clients have a preference, and we respect that. When booking online you can select your therapist, or simply note your preference and we’ll make sure you’re comfortable. You can also read our therapist bios to learn more about each of our team members.
Do you accept HSA or FSA cards?
Yes. Many clients use their Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account cards for massage. We also provide itemized receipts if you’d like to submit for reimbursement. You're welcome to email us at info@tucsonmassage.com if you need help with an invoice or itemized receipt and we will get that to you promptly.
Are you open evenings and weekends?
Yes. Life doesn’t stop at 5pm, and neither do we. We’re open seven days a week, 9:30 am – 7:30 pm, with only a few holiday closures (Christmas and Thanksgiving, plus early evenings on Halloween and New Year’s Eve).
What should I expect at my first massage?
Plan to arrive a few minutes early. Your therapist will review your goals and preferences, then tailor the session to your needs — whether that’s relaxation, deep tissue, or targeted recovery work. Feel free to ask your therapist any and all questions you may have.
Do you sell gift cards?
We do, and they’re one of Tucson’s favorite go-to gifts. Over 6,000 have already been purchased. Digital cards are instant, cardstock ones can be mailed, and our local restaurant bundles make for the ultimate date-night surprise. They’re thoughtful, easy, and always appreciated.
What’s the difference between Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep tissue uses stronger, focused pressure to target chronic tension and stubborn knots. Swedish is gentler, with flowing strokes designed for overall relaxation and stress relief. Both can be customized to your needs and both can feel amazing. Deep tissue doesn't have to hurt and a Swedish Massage here is much more than a "fluff and buff".
